A place to call home....

For the days that are spent, for the struggles that frustrate, for the nights that are bleakest yet, this is for them, for the odds that eventually will triumph and for the dawn that must arise…

And for friends, old and new, for family that holds you tight and inspires and uplifts, each day, every single day….  :)

A special thank you to @Sunita Goldstein for the thoughts behind this verse… :)

Meadows green

As I walk on days like these
Rising over the azure pristine
I see a distant verdant green.

And as I walk o’er blossoms pink
Blushing, subtle, cloying hints
Beckoning, summoning into the horizon still.

I see what lies beyond
Far and away from this rising mound
That cannot, in realities be found.

Felt only, swathed and bound
In memories, longings, prospects, a life
That could not be shaken, broken, cowed.

And so I walk on verdant green
Breathing in the air serene
Knowing that I alone will reign supreme
If I but believe that I am queen.
