I don’t need you

To slay my dragon,

Dragons

I don’t need you

To be the rescuing,

Rescuer

For I am the slayer

The survivor

A warrior

I breathe deep

I stand

Alone albeit

Arise, the sky

It soars

Above. Wanton. Free.

I ain’t looking 

For a boy to be a king

Any king, anything

I don’t need rescuing

Saving, telling

I am a queen.
